The right massage starts with the result you want. If your goal is quiet, sleep, and general ease, a relaxation-focused treatment is usually the better beginning.

Deep tissue massage is more specific. It uses slower, firmer pressure to work through tension in areas such as the back, shoulders, neck, and legs.

Relaxation massage is not less valuable. It helps the nervous system settle, supports better rest, and gives the body space to recover without intensity.

When in doubt, choose the pressure you can breathe through. A good session should feel effective and comfortable, not like something you need to endure.
